House in Kastav
Kastav
In this project, our goal was to unite the apartment on the upper floor of a family house and the ground-floor konoba into one coherent, strong, and recognizable whole, despite their differing spatial and atmospheric characteristics. Through a systematic approach, we shaped a home that supports everyday family life as well as gatherings and socializing with friends.
The upper-floor apartment was conceived as the calmer, more residential part of the house. We focused on refined materiality, balanced proportions, and subtle classical details that lend the space warmth and a sense of permanence. Alongside carefully selected ceramics, decorative wall coverings and finishes play an important role, adding texture, depth, and visual rhythm. Through a restrained color palette, softer lighting, and tactile materials, we achieved a pleasant, understated ambiance suited to everyday living.
The ground-floor konoba was designed as a space for socializing and gathering, with a pronounced architectural character. The height of the space, exposed concrete structures, and strong vertical dynamics became the foundation of the design concept. Rather than concealing the existing elements, we chose to emphasize and enrich them with new layers—ceramic cladding with bold patterns, wood, metal details, and precisely designed lighting. By connecting the living area, bar, and gallery, we created a unique environment that encourages social interaction, communication, and relaxation.
Throughout the entire project, we were guided by the idea of balance—between contemporary and classical, raw and refined, functional and experiential. Through a consistent design language, thoughtful material selection, and carefully developed details, we created an interior with a strong identity—a family home that functions equally well in everyday life and during moments of shared gathering.

What is luxury?
Luxury is when something functions flawlessly, when I achieve the right balance between all elements. Subtle theatricality—that is what luxury means to me.

What is successful design?
For a home’s design to be successful, the elements within it must communicate with one another, respond to each other, and remain in balance.
Our Relationship with Clients
Our investors are our partners and allies, and their satisfaction is the sole measure of the quality of our work. Therefore, our approach is fully individualized; instead of mass production, we choose quality, and we approach design with style and passion.

“What is quality? Quality design must have authenticity. My work is not perfection—nor should it be—but sometimes the middle of the road is the most dangerous place to walk.”
“Our approach to any residential design project—whether a house, an apartment, or a vacation residence—is a re-conceptualization of what is considered an ordinary interior, elevating it to an extraordinary level.”
